About P.K. Bahri
P.K. Bahri is an ophthalmic optician with over 25 years of experience in private practice and hospital ophthalmology departments. He graduated in Glasgow in 1983 with First Class Honours. His postgraduate qualifications include fellowships of the College of Optometry in the UK and the American Academy of Optometry.
He acquired his first practice in Woodford Green in 1986 and established the Upminster practice in 1991. His experience spans community practice and hospital ophthalmology, including work at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital, Queen’s Hospital, King George Hospital and the Institute of Optometry in London.
P.K. Bahri was among the first ophthalmic opticians in the UK to become an independent prescriber, enabling him to diagnose and treat many eye conditions. He can also diagnose conditions that require surgery and make early referrals where necessary.
